Ever have trouble writing care plans? Not sure what to include? Is it too long? Too brief? THIS IS TAKING TOO MUCH TIME!?? Well, check out Kati Kleber, RN, CCRN's tips on how to write a good care plan. Her method will also help you develop your critical thinking.
I get it . . . I hated care plans too while I was in nursing school.
However, the longer I'm a nurse the more I realize . . . all we do is care plans. And, critical thinking is the foundation of nursing care plans.
This video is our plea to nursing students: Don't be that nurse that just checks boxes . . . to get out on time!
Care about your patients. Think through your care and interventions. Critically think about what you patient needs. Provide the care you would give your own loved one.
